How to Wrap AdSense Ads Around and Inline Beside Blogger Post Content

When you look to the top left corner of this article, there is a Google AdSense ads unit block that has a style that is aligned inline beside and wrapped the article body (only on single post view). This format of layout is considered and proofed to be able to generate higher CTR (click through rate) for AdSense ads, directly increasing the revenue publisher earned. The new Blogger service with widget-based XML template allows authors at best to insert AdSense ad blocks in between blog posts by using AdSense or HTML/JavaScript page elements, but not inline within and wrap around blog post itself.

Here’s the trick and hack on how to put AdSense ads in within and beside of Blogger.com blog post body, and has the content wraps around the ads to make the ads look like part of the content. Coupled with using ad colors which blend the borderless ads to the blog overall color scheme, and choosing bigger ad format such as 336×280 large rectangle or 300×250 rectangle will definite optimize placement of AdSense ads, increase ads click thru rate and improve publishers income. Beside, the AdSense ads put in by this trick will also be shown and displayed in the blog main page, or when individual blog post content page is visited.

  1. Login to Blogger account.
  2. At Blogger Dashboard, click on Settings link listed behind “Manage” for the blog that you want to enable to show AdSense ads between posts.
  3. Click on Template tab, and then click on Edit HTML sub-tab link to open Blogger HTML code template editor to edit the contents of your template.

  4. Backup a copy of your template by click on Download Full Template link, in case it’s is needed be uploaded to Blogger server to recover the template in the event of mistake or corruption.

    Blogger Download Full Template

  5. Click to tick the Expand Widget Templates checkbox.

    Blogger Expand Widget Templates

  6. Seach for the following line in the new Blogger template HTML code in the text box:

    or

    Blogger Expand Widget Templates

  7. Append the following lines of code into the template BEFORE the line of located above:

Parsed Google AdSense Ad Code (guide to parse the HTML code of AdSense JavaScript with escape character)

AdSense Ad Code in Blogger Template

Note the above code will align AdSense ad block to the left. You can also make it make it float to the right, but change the “float: left;” to “float: right;” (some user reported that you may need to use only single quote (’) instead of double quote (”) for it to work, i.e. ‘float: left’ and not “float: left”).

Note that you can also make the ads appear only on single post view.

  8. Click on SAVE TEMPLATE button when done.

If the alignment of your blog layout is not good, you can try to add the code above directly after the following line in the Blogger widget template:

The above trick may work to add ad code wrap beside the post content in Blogger from other advertising networks too, such as AdBrite, BlogAds, Chitika, Tribal Fusion, ValueClick, and etc, in case you can’t use AdSense for reason such as account banned. And there are more position inside posts to put AdSense.

Move Blogger Inline Ads Between Posts to Inside Within Post Position

The new Blogger widget based template that built on XML specification has a feature to add Google AdSense ad unit inline between posts. These inline ads appear between 2 blog posts on homepage, archive and category or label pages, or after the blog content when the single post is viewed individually. However, the placement is kind of awkward and low performing in term of click through rate (CTR).

A lot of bloggers have put Google AdSense ad code inside the post or wrap the ad unit around blog post by editing template’s HTML to insert modified ad code manually. Some users may feel uneasy on modifying the AdSense ad code as it may violates AdSense TOS. Anyway, there is another workaround to put AdSense ads in Blogger posts, by using trick to move or duplicate built-in inline ads between posts block to inside the post section.

1. To use the trick to move around AdSense ad unit added by Ads Between Posts, enable and configure inline ads in Blogger using this guide. Note that you must login to your AdSense account from Blogger to establish access authentication. If you don’t have AdSense account yet, you can click on Sing Up button to register for one.
2. To display this ad within blog post also, click on Template tab, and then click on Edit HTML sub-tab link to open Blogger HTML code template editor to edit the contents of your template.

Blogger Edit HTML
3. Backup a copy of your template by click on Download Full Template link, in case it’s is needed be uploaded to Blogger server to recover the template in the event of mistake or corruption.

Blogger Download Full Template
4. Click to tick the Expand Widget Templates checkbox.

Blogger Expand Widget Templates
5. Find the line with the following text:

And paste the following block of text before (for ad position before content) or after (for ad position after content) the line above:

Note that maximum of 3 AdSense for Contents (non Link Unit type) ads are allowed on each page.
6. If you want the AdSense ads inside blog post to appear only when individual blog post is visited, and not on homepage, category or archive pages, wrap the following lines to before and after code added above

The whole block added will look like below:

7. After enabling Show Ads Between Posts in step 1, you will notice that AdSense ads will be shown between posts on all multiple blog posts page, and also after the article on individual single post view. If you don’t want these ads to appear, i.e. to move built-in inline ads to within post, the locate the following block of text which is same with the one we added above:

And delete these code from template. Note that we have just added a same block of code from step above, so do not remove the newly added code, but the existing code in the template.

If you still want the AdSense ad unit to appear between posts when visitors view your blog homepage, label or category pages or archive pages, wrap the code above on top and bottom with the following 2 lines:

so that it looks like the following:

Note that the two lines should be added to the existing block of code in template, not the block which we added in step above.
8. Click on SAVE TEMPLATE button to save the new hacked template. Now the ad should be appear inside blog post without actually modify ad code. You can also use the same hack theory above to place the ads on different location.

Where To Find A Card

The card is a very useful tool which can be as simple or as complex as a person chooses. It's all about choices! A card can be found as close as your fingertips or as far away as your local discount store or mall. Would you prefer a more detailed, expensive card or a low-cost, simplistic version? You can find the expensive versions at any shop that specializes in selling cards, of course. You can even order a set of customized cards from a magazine. There are also your quick-stop stores that may have just the card you want. Even truck stops sell cards. I was delighted to find cards at our local dollar stores. They have pretty, low-cost cards for every occasion. A card would seem a hindrance to some who desire an easy, quick choice. After all, the choices are vast and impressive. Choosing the perfect one is essential to one who wants to say just the right thing. Hence, a card may be a dreaded thing to buy for someone in a hurry or someone who just wants to "get it over with". Unfortunately, there are those who buy a card as an obligation and those who find too many choices overwhelming.

So, why not just make your own card? It's as easy as buying some card-stock and markers. There is an endless supply of choices as to how to make a card. You can find your own card in your art supply. You can find your card without an art supply. Use your imagination. Find your card in your mind and bring it to life.

What about finding a card on the internet? Yes, there is a card for you out there in cyberspace! If you would rather save your gas and not have to worry about getting dressed to go to the store to search for a card, just turn on the computer, sign on to the internet and take your card-searching adventure. Google it!

Some hardware stores even carry cards these days. Small towns need all the help they can get to bring merchandise to their door steps. Hardware stores hope to compete with the bigger businesses who offer an array of products and services. Therefore, even something that seems as simple as a card can generate traffic and bring business into their stores.

Would you like a big card or a little card? Cards are produced that wouldn't even fit into an oversized mailbox! Now those are certainly eye-catchers. They can be found at truck stops and card specialty stores. Have you ever heard of getting someone's attention by whispering? Maybe the little card would be the perfect choice. However, rather than risk them getting lost in the mail because of their tiny size, it may be preferable to deliver a tiny card in person.

There is also the choice of a card printing shop should you find the need for a more professional appearance or cards bought in bulk.
